Tegan and Sara will be joined by The Lonely Island to perform “Everything is Awesome” from The Lego Movie at the 87th Oscars on February 22nd. The song was written by Shawn Patterson exclusively for the film. It can be heard playing numerous times throughout the film and is sure to get stuck in your head every time you hear it. “Everything is Awesome” is nominated for Best Original Song along with “Grateful” from Beyond the Lights, “I’m not Gonna Miss You” from Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me, “Glory” from Selma, and “Lost Stars” from Begin Again.
The Oscars will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Hollywood. You can watch it live on ABC Television Network at 7 PM ET.
