We know all Hobbit fans are anxiously waiting for December 17th – the release date of the third and final film of the trilogy, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Well dear fans – we have some fantastic news – you can watch the movie EARLY. That’s right – you can catch The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies as part of the trilogy marathon two days early – on December 15th. Most theaters will play The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey around 1 PM, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Samug around 4 PM, and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five armies around 7 PM.
Tickets for the IMAX experience of the trilogy go on sale today in most cities.

The first film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, follows Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he is sent on a quest, out of the blue, by the great and powerful wizard Gandalf (Ian Mckellen). Bilbo, along with thirteen dwarfs led by the warrior Thorin, must reclaim Erebor – the lost kingdom of the dwarfs from a dragon named Smaug. In this movie, Bilbo comes across a ring… A ring that will set the fate and journeys of more people than Bilbo could ever imagine. This movie details the beginning of the unlikely groups quest to the residence of Smaug.

After nearly dying at the hands of the creatures – they are captured by yet another enemy – the Elves. They manage a brave escape and make it to the Lonely Mountain where Smaug resides…

Okay. Don’t hate me for saying this, but The Hobbit isn’t that great – I LOVE the book, the movies have way too much CGI….. LIke no.. there was so much more effort put into LOTR…. So sad.
