It’s been six years since the fan-favorite action-drama Prison Break last aired on FOX. But there’s great news for fans of the series – a revival series has been announced by FOX. Best of all – Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will both be returning for the show.

The news was made public by FOX chairman and CEO Dana Walden at yesterday’s FOX TCA Panel. Walden described the series in the following statement:

 “I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. It definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience.”

At this time the revival season will have 10 episodes and no release date has been announced.
