You know Natalie Dormer from her role as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones but soon you’ll be seeing her in a very different setting. Filming has just begun for a supernatural thriller starring Dormer and Taylor Kinney called The Forest.

The Forest follows the story of a young woman travelling from the United States to Japan in search of her twin sister after her mysterious disappearance. Disregarding everyone’s warnings, she deviates from the path in the Aokigahara forest and finds herself at odds with the angry tormented souls that haunt the woods and seek to kill those who wander in their land.

The Forest will be based on an original idea by David S. Goyer and directed by Jason Zada. The script was penned by Sarah Cornwell and Nick Antosca. Production is taking place in Tokyo, Japan and in the Aokigahara forest near Mount Fuji.
