Hurray! The long-awaited news of the cast members comprising season 2 of True Detective has finally been released and expanded! HBO has confirmed Rachel McAdams, Kelly Reilley, and Taylor Kitsch are all joining the start studded cast of the previously announced Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn.
According to HBO`s release:
Rachel McAdams will play Ani Bezzerides – a Ventura detective with a stubborn ethical stance which often causes tension between herself and fellow workers.
Kelly Reilly will play Jordan – Frank Semyon`s wife and former D-list actress.
Taylor Kitsch will play Paul Woodrugh – war veteran now serving as a motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol. Burdened with a difficult past he has even more trouble on his way.
Colin Farrell will play Ray Velcoro – corrupt and troubles detective that can’t seem to get his act together long enough to maintain the tricky balancing act between the mobsters he serves and his workplace superiors.
Vince Vaughn will play Frank Semyon – criminal in danger of losing his entire life’s work after the murder of a business partner.
The second season of True Detective is set for a summer release in 2015 – we’re excited!
