The seventh film of the Fast & Furious franchise had a huge opening night on Thursday – taking home an impressive $15.8 million. Fast & Furious 6 didn’t even make half the profits on its Thursday previews, only bringing in $6.5 million. We can expect to see the box office numbers rising significantly by the end of the weekend, making Furious 7 one of the biggest April releases of all time, only falling short of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Furious 7 is the final movie where fans of the popular franchise will see Paul Walker, who passed away in 2013 due to a car crash, he was a passenger in his friend’s vehicle. The tragedy happened before the filming of Furious 7 was completed, and Walker’s brother is found in his place in several scenes. Actors playing alongside Walker in Furious 7 include Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, and Ludacris.
Furious 7 is an absolute must-see for all fans of Paul Walker and of the franchise. If you haven’t watched the first six Fast & Furious films, now is your chance. You can watch all six movies in limited regions on Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu in the USA.
