In the biggest non-surprise of the year, Avengers: Age of Ultron made a ton of money at the box office on its opening weekend – $191 million to be specific.

As impressive as those numbers are, the movie didn’t manage to surpass analyst expectations which Business Insider cited to be between $210 million and $230 million. Age of Ultron also failed to beat out the record set by the first Avengers, which holds the title for the biggest opening weekend to date with $207.4 million. In any case, Avengers: Age of Ultron, has has the highest opening weekend of 2015, and the only film that would have a shot at beating it is Star Wars – so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
