Chances are you, your neighbors, and all the kids at the school down the street know the lyrics to Frozen’s famous song “Let It Go” by heart. Elsa and Anna merchandise outsold Barbie as the top-selling Christmas Toy this season, making this the first toy series to beat Barbie in 11 years. Frozen made $1.274 BILLION worldwide and its buzz has not died down since.
Obviously, speculations of a sequel were abounding. Now, it seems that Idina Menzel, the voice behind Elsa seems to have confirmed that a sequel is definitely in the works. We do know there is a Frozen stage musical, and a six-minute short coming soon, but when asked in a Telegraph interview if she would be participating in the coming productions, Menzel said, “Not the stage show, – don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride”; ah, so there is a movie, that’s exciting news! Unless, of course, Menzel was referring to upcoming short – let’s keep our fingers crossed she meant a sequel.
