They say all good things must end, and this is true for all of television – better end something on a high note than let it die out. One of HBO’s most beloved shows – Boardwalk Empire – has come to an end.

Boardwalk Empire is set in the 1920s during the prohibition era. It is a period-drama that follows “Nucky”, played by Steve Buscemi, an Atlantic City politician that conspires with bootleggers and mobsters while organized crime rings begin to build powerful mob empires. The pilot episode of the series of directed by famous gangster-film director Martin Scorsese. The series evolve as more people become involved in organized crime, including government officials, and detail the various effects of the prohibition on society.
